From next February until the end of April, the Costa Rican Foreign Trade Promotion Agency (PROCOMER) will offer more than 30 training sessions and programs for Costa Rican exporters, aiming to support them in the internationalization process of their products and services.

This will be done through the PROCOMER Training Program, which is aimed at both active exporters and those who are just beginning their export journey. Most of these sessions will be free and will cover content for various industries and sectors, such as negotiation techniques, marketing and sales, legal and logistical aspects of exportation, among others.

“At PROCOMER, we are committed to strengthening Costa Rica’s export talent. These training sessions provide practical tools designed to align with global trends and prepare our companies to excel in international trade,” said Mario Sáenz, Export Development Manager at PROCOMER.

Those interested in registering for one or more of these sessions can access the full list of training sessions and sign up through PROCOMER’s official website: https://www.procomer.com/exportador/capacitaciones/

“The PROCOMER Training Program has been a fundamental tool in supporting the development of Costa Rican exporters. During 2024, we impacted nearly 1,984 people and 1,320 companies, providing them with strategic knowledge to tackle international trade challenges. This year, we will continue offering key content, with the aim of preparing both newcomers and established companies looking to expand into new markets,” Sáenz concluded.

What do entrepreneurs say about this program?

Federico Arias, President and Founder of Visionarios Alquimistas Veinte Veinte, S.A. (Alquimistas 2020), a company dedicated to the development and production of gourmet alcoholic beverages, highlighted PROCOMER’s support and the relevance of these sessions for the different stages of the export process.

“We started commercial operations in the last quarter of 2021, and in 2022, we made the strategic decision to export. Thanks to PROCOMER’s support, we have strengthened our capabilities and taken firm steps in our internationalization process. From our first export in 2023 to our projection of taking our products to the United States in 2025, every program and advisory session has helped us optimize processes, innovate, and expand our reach. Having an institution that provides expert support, energy, and passion for export development has been essential in achieving our goals and continuing to grow in international markets,” he said.

Meanwhile, Juan Sauma Rossi, Manager of Pelletics, stated that “these are very useful tools for exporters, as they provide great benefits across different fields and stages of the internationalization process. These sessions also generate many other opportunities to take advantage of, such as events, international fairs, business linkages, and many more.”

From 2020 to date, more than 4,600 companies and 9,100 individuals have been trained through 1,034 sessions. For 2025, PROCOMER will offer over 100 training sessions, 14 modular programs, and 13 courses on the e-learning platform.

The content of these sessions is designed based on global trends for export promotion. For more information, interested individuals can contact: capacitaciones@procomer.com
